Massive Butcher Block
When a cooking school asked us to build a butcher block counter top, they asked if we could make it 5” thick. I replied “Of course we can!” This massive counter top had to built in pieces and assembled in the field because of the weight and size. It was made from Maple. Maple is an ideal material for butcher block counter tops due to the tight grain structure and the ability to sand them to a polish.
