TL cabana small

Ever host a party or a barbeque in the backyard and wish you could just have a nice shady spot to sit and relax? Or hanging out by the pool and just wish you could get out of the sun for a few minutes? Well, one thing that a lot of people don’t know is that Delta Millwork manufactures Cabanas and Pergolas made from beautiful Western Red Cedar timbers and sells them as ready-to-assemble kits. I have one in my own home (pictured below) and I can honestly say that it is the single best thing you can add to a swimming pool or backyard oasis. And the best part is you will actually use it, a lot…

We offer Cabanas in sizes ranging from 15’ x 15’ up to 20’ x 20’. Custom sizes can also be made. The Cabanas feature a beautiful open 2x6 tongue and groove Cedar ceiling that can also be accented with low voltage indirect lighting as well as solid cedar timber structural beams that are bolted together for long lasting beauty. The kits include all of the Cedar, hardware, bolts and brackets to build the complete cabana except for the roof shingles and the concrete slab or decking. While we do not install the cabanas, they are easily erected by any competent framer or carpenter. Most of the parts are even precut. How cool is that?

Below are answers to a few of the most commonly asked questions:

What sizes are available?

Delta Millwork offers cabana kits in sizes ranging from 15’ x 15’ up to 20’ x 20’.

Q.How much do they cost?

A.The kits range from $45.00sf to $55.00sf, depending on size and details.

Q.Are there any additional costs?

A.The customer must furnish the shingles for the roof, the concrete or decking for the floor, and the labor to erect the unit. Labor to install one of our Cabana kits usually runs in the $3000.00 range and takes about 2 days.

Q.Do you provide drawings?

A.Yes. Computer designed drawings are included with the kits for easy jobsite installation.

Q.Can you make a special size Cabana or Pergola?

A.Yes. As long as it does not exceed the 20’ x 20’ size limit we can design a custom size to meet your needs.

Q.How did you create that indirect lighting on the Cabana in the picture?

A.Easy, it is simply outdoor low voltage lights such as Malibu outdoor lights that you can buy at any home improvement store. When directed towards the ceiling they light the beautiful cedar ceiling up and create a very pleasing indirect light.
